Maggie Grace was born Margaret Grace Denig in September 21 1982. Maggie Grace is an American actor best known for her character Shannon Rutherford in ABC TV series Lost. Originating from Worthington Ohio, she left high school to move into Los Angeles with her mother following her divorce from her parents. However, in 2001, despite financial struggles she managed get her first significant performance in the video online show Rachel's Room as the principal character. After earning a Young Artist Award in 2002 for her portrayal of Murder in Greenwich of a 15-year aged Martha Moxley as a murder victim, she went on to win. Grace Rutherford was the lead actress in Lost in its two initial seasons. In 2004 she received the Screen Actors Guild Award with the entire ensemble. Grace wanted to focus on film following her role as Tom Welling's character in The Fog, in 2005. She was on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) with Liam Neeson. She reprised her role in Taken 2 (2011) and Taken 3 (2013).She also played Alice in Malice in Wonderland, a modern version to Lewis Carroll's Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Grace returned to the Lost series for the last two episodes, playing Shannon. She appeared in 2013's six-season of Californication. She plays Faith who's an avid stargazer as well as a groupie. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family and is the elder sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. When she was in her teens she appeared in small roles in her father's movies and co-starred with her older brother in Donnie Darko which is a popular cult movie. Later, she was on the screen in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal's leading roles in Secretary, a romantic comedy-drama erotico, and Sherrybaby (a dramatic) have earned her nominations to the Golden Globe Award. The year 2006 was the time she had several films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However the role she played as Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). Her performance in Crazy Heart as a mother with a single child received her a nomination for the Academy Award Best Supporting Actress. Following that, she starred in comedies as well as dramatic movies: Nanny McPhee & the Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012. Other roles she has played include Secret Service agents in White House Down (2013, action thriller), musicians in Frank (2014 and drama The Kindergarten Teacher 2018), and the role of the Kindergarten teacher. Gyllenhaal began her professional career as director, screenwriter and script writer. she wrote and directed the psychological thriller The Lost Daughter. The film received the award for Best Screenplay in the Venice International Film Festival, and was later nominated by The Academy Award. Academy Award.
