Emma

Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both attorneys. At the age five she relocated from London to Oxfordshire where she studied at The Dragon School. Emma's dream was to become an actor. At the age of 6she was enrolled into the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch in which she was taught classes in acting, singing as well as dancing. When she was ten, she had performed and taken as the main character in several Stagecoach productions and school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000) the 2001 version from J.K. Rowling's bestselling British book began in 1999. Emma was initially discovered as a casting agent by her Oxford teacher of drama. David Heyman informed Emma, Daniel Radcliffe, and Rupert Grint after 8 auditions. They were cast as three leads Hermione Gringer Harry Potter Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance in a film was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. It was the year's top grossing film, breaking records at the opening and first weekend. Critics were impressed with the movie and its performances. The Daily Telegraph, an important British newspaper, called Emma's acting "amazing". Emma's performance received nominations and later won awards for the movie.
